3BP is using mRNA Display for the de novo identification of hits in its dedicated research facility in Poland. mRNA Display is the most powerful in vitro display technology to generate hits from highly diverse peptide libraries. These proprietary libraries contain up to 1014 (100 trillion) different molecules. As mRNA Display works entirely in vitro, selection conditions can be fine-tuned to select peptide hits with desirable features beyond high-affinity target binding. These features can include species specificity, anti-target discrimination or targeting a specific binding site. Through this approach we can rapidly select the best developable peptides hits within a few weeks.
